Our beautiful single story arts & crafts style bungalow in the Lake Phalen area of Saint Paul had a previously remodeled cramped, dark and poorly designed attic. Building Arts set out to correct these problems for us. The newly re-designed attic space includes a bright, spacious family area in addition to three much more spacious bedrooms, each with good storage. We used skylights and new windows to bring in more and better light. Proper insulation has also given the house much better energy usage. The finishes were improved in order to reflect the detail of the historic first floor, making the design of the new space in keeping with the style of the house.
