We’ve lived in our 1922 bungalow for 24 years, and truly love our location: half block from Minnehaha Creek with its biking/walking paths, half mile from light rail, close to the river and St. Paul. We loved our house, too, but it was in desperate need of renovation. After 15+ years of procrastination, we found the perfect partner in Otogawa-Anschel, green remodelers (seeking Minnesota GreenStar certification at the Silver level for this home) with a detailed, creative, colorful approach that fit our values and vision. We are thrilled with the results – wonderful new kitchen (cupboards of 100-year-old beech salvaged from Lake Superior), transformed downstairs bathroom, total upstairs makeover encompassing home office, bedroom and new bathroom, and new windows, insulation and updates throughout. It’s a cozy, efficient house, full of color and fun – we love it!
