Lynnhurst Colonial

1947 Colonial
The Ashbrook Family
The existing house was a typical Colonial with an impressive foyer. The living room was large but awkward in that it was too large for one furniture arrangement but too small for two. The kitchen was small and the den was closed off from the rest of the house, so it was rarely used. Additionally, there was no transition between the garage and kitchen. The new kitchen has been opened up and includes a mudroom and a lounge area with a fireplace. The living room has been divided up into two functions-living and dining. All spaces are open to the fantastic view of Minnehaha Creek. The home still retains its character but is much better suited for a busy family.
