Bryn Mawr

When David bought a flat roofed, one story home in the mid-1990s it was in need of TLC. Over the next 12 years he remodeled and refurbished, finding everything from windows buried in walls to wood foundations. Our current space began its evolution four years ago with a down-to-the-studs kitchen remodel. Two years and one marriage later we needed more room. Adding a second story and finishing the first floor remodel gave us more space without having to leave neighbors and a community we love. We told the architect and builder we wanted the house to reflect both the character of Bryn Mawr and our preference for contemporary lines and finishes. Their careful consideration of the smallest details doubled the size of our home, and transformed our living space.
