Highland Park

Ten years ago we outgrew our Highland Park home. We packed our belongings and two children and moved – to a 1940’s colonial just four blocks away! We were not willing to give up the things we had come to enjoy. We grocery shop, worship, attend school, visit playgrounds, volunteer, and work all within this great area. However, with our third child, a cramped family room and aging kitchen cabinets, we were nagged with this home’s unmet potential. In 2008, we borrowed from the large backyard to build a two-story addition including a family room, mudroom, master bed/bath and kitchen remodel. The finely-tuned traffic flow improved our family’s efficiency tenfold. The project kept with our home’s original character and made us truly proud homeowners in this wonderful neighborhood.
