Waite Park

We are two architects who always have ideas for our 1939 home! With a tight budget, we used the existing footprint for our kitchen remodel. Improvements include a new wall of storage, built-in appliances, new cabinets carefully selected to complement existing, and a custom buffet wall for the dining room. Unique terrazzo tile flooring, glass tile backsplash, quartz countertops, and two stains of wood were used. The goal was to remain sympathetic to the era of the home, while adding modern touches. Many hidden energy improvements were made, such as replacing our ancient octopus furnace with an efficient dual-fuel system.
